ABOUT

The Decorative Arts Society since its foundation in 1975 has been a pioneer in studying post 1850 decorative arts and design. It has a widely-based, knowledgeable membership of curators, scholars, collectors and enthusiasts who are committed to its subject. It produces annually a high quality Journal of academic standing and three newsletters. It arranges meetings, study days, lectures, seminars and study tours in the UK and overseas.

Members apply to take part in EVENTS by contacting the organiser of each event whose details are given in the Newsletter circulated three times per year.

Since 2012 a programme of GRANTS AND BURSARIES has supported museums and scholars in the decorative arts.
