The special four-day summer opening is to become an annual event at Two Temple Place, a neo-Tudor office with Gothic and whimsical elements that was built for William Waldorf Astor in the 1890s. There will be live demonstrations and opportunities to try the crafts used to create the building, including wood and stone carving, gilding, stained glass and conservation.
The free festival showcases the brilliant work of City & Guilds’ students, who will demonstrate their skills and share methods of making. Creative and family workshops run throughout the weekend. Crafty Fox Market are taking over the Lower Gallery on Saturday 29th August with an independent makers’ market.
The event runs from 27 to 30 August. For more information, visit the website.
