Frank Lloyd Wright’s Office for Edgar J. Kaufmann

Zoom lecture by Christopher Wilk, at 6.00 pm (London). From 1993 to 2005, Wright’s office for Edgar Kaufmann was the only Wright interior on public view outside the United States. In 2024 it will be on show again at the V&A’s new open-storage facility on the Olympic site in East London. The office is a succinct encapsulation of Wright’s philosophy of Organic Architecture and the most complete of all the V&A’s period rooms as it includes all its original floors, walls, ceiling, furniture and textiles.
