The Kiddell Collection, the property of Sotheby’s New Bond Street, London, is a compilation of fakes, forgeries, and reproductions, initiated by J.D. (Jim) Kiddell, a distinguished former Director. The origins of this Collection date back to the post-war years during Kiddell's tenure at the auction house until 1979. His vision for the Collection was to create a comprehensive educational tool to support Sotheby’s specialists and students in the complex art of identifying forgeries and understanding the nuances of art authentication. These fakes, forgeries and reproductions in stoneware, earthenware and porcelain reference manufacturers including Delft, Meissen, Saint Cloud, Chantilly and Sèvres. The visit is from 5.30 to 7.30pm and the cost is £12.
