LONDON CHURCHES WALK NO. 3

LONDON CHURCHES WALK NO. 3

UK EVENT

Thu 09 Oct 2025

Robert Drake will lead a further walk around interesting London churches in Marylebone including two early 20th century Anglo-Catholic churches—The Annunciation, Bryanston Street, and St Cyprian, Clarence Gate by Ninian Comper. Then a Roman Catholic church, Our Lady, Lisson Grove of 1830 by Scoles, with interesting 20th century stained glass and sculpture and a Perspex frieze by Arthur Fleischmann designed for the Vatican pavilion at the Brussels World’s Fair of 1958. Depending on timing and the weather, we may use buses to move between churches. The event will finish with tea at Alfie’s Antique Market. The visit is from 17.30 to 19.30pm and the cost is £12.

Please contact Martin Webster, Chairman of the Events sub-committee if you would like a place on this visit.
