The DAS’s close links with museum professionals include arranging study visits to collections and supporting their participation in study tours. The 40th Anniversary Fund offers bursaries for research travel, assists museum purchases, and finances two annual curatorial Collections Access Grants.

In 2015 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its founding the DAS established, thanks to the generosity of its members, a fund from which to award various grants and bursaries.
