Join curator of the exhibition, Ghislaine Wood, for a tour of Art Deco by the Sea, which examines British coastal culture between the First and Second World Wars and the Art Deco style. From the Midland Hotel in Morecambe to the villas of Frinton-on-Sea, Art Deco became the seaside style. The exhibition will include around 150 items in all media, featuring works by Serge Chermayeff, Wells Coates, Alvar Aalto, Jean Dunand and Poole Pottery. We will also visit the exhibition Art Nouveau: The Nature of Dreams drawn from the renowned Anderson Collection of Art Nouveau at the Sainsbury Centre, and there will be time to look at the permanent collection on view in this spectacular Norman Foster building.
